This is a hardcover book with 206 full color pages and more than 180 color plates
that presents the work from the French ceramist Edmond Lachenal (1855 – 1948)
who was a frequent exhibitor at the annual artists' salons in Paris, including the
Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs.
He was awarded many medals and other distinctions including the 1889
and 1900 Gold Medal at the World's Fair in Paris.
Edmond Lachenal worked with Théodore Deck from 1870, then trained Raoul Lachenal
Jean-Jacques Lachenal and Emile Decoeur during the Art-Nouveau period.
This book presents over 70 pieces, with color pictures, a full description and the signature
with pieces from Théodore Deck, Edmond Lachenal, Raoul Lachenal, Jean-Jacques Lachenal,
Emile Decoeur, Agnes de Frumerie, Serge de Solomko, Max Blondat.
The English texts are written by Martin Eidelberg.
