This overview of 280 pages presents an exceptional collection of 280 glasses,
with inclusions in real size, sulphides and enamels, on glass and thumbler.
A number of complementary photos are also included to better show certain decorations, the cut of crystal
or the fluorescence under ultraviolet light.
In total, 400 pictures are illustrating this 280 pages book.
The author has also carried out new and considerable research into the attribution of the glasses in the various factories:
Le Creusot, Saint-Louis, Baccarat, Clichy, Voneche, Val Saint Lambert, Hurrah (in Bohemia)
and the Imperial cristalworks from Saint-Petersburg.
The results of the research are a precious contribution to our knowledge of glass production from 1800 to 1870.
The French texts are written by Leon Darnis
and comes with a manual containing the full translation in English of the text.
